SW Info site RGs 2nd version
Sail-World.com is the most extensive online marine news network in the
World, comprising a network of seven unique websites in New Zealand,
Australia, Asia, USA, Canada, UK and Europe.
As well as running unique websites, regional newsletters are sent to
37,600 subscribers worldwide each week.
1.7 Million Page Views/Month: While the Sail-World network has
always attracted significant readership, this has accelerated since NZ's
America's Cup win in June 2017. Sail-World reached 1,713,685
page views in January 2021 following December 2020's 1,239,757 page
views with 457K Users and 829K Sessions. This is well up on
our previous record of 760,000 page views/month in September 2019.
Our readers are on Sail-World to read sailing related content - or content
that would be of interest to sailing fans. We don't inflate our readership
statistics with forum visitors, or run "click-bait" content.

Analytics metrics).
A Multimedia Sailing news site: Sail-World is primarily a sailing
news website, covering all facets of the sport, with a mix of supplied and
original content. The multimedia content includes five forms - text,
images, video, graphics and audio - all able to be contained within the
one story, if available.
Advertiser Newsletters and Content: Sail-World can offer a similar
facility, for advertiser content including new products, an explanation of
services, success stories, special events, sponsorships, how-to stories
and more. Sail-World is unique in that it can republish advertiser
newsletters as both stories on the site and through Sail-World's weekly
newsletters - depending on the regions which the advertiser chooses to
display.
Sail-World has run stories on related events - such as the combined Site
18 and Orams Marine development which will be vital to the New Zealand
marine industry generally. These stories usually attract an excellent
readership in New Zealand and internationally, as well as getting picked
up by mainstream media in New Zealand and used by them as a news item.
Authoritative content: Sail-World New Zealand's editor Richard
Gladwell is a well-known commentator, journalist and photographer both in
New Zealand but also with a strong international profile. As well as being
read in Sail-World he regularly appears in an authoritative US online
video news website, Sailing Illustrated, with his Jan 2019 show attracted
15,000 viewers, a record for the site. Nationally he has written
fortnightly articles for the NZ Herald, including links to
Sail-World, and is frequently interviewed by TVNZ 1News team plus
Radio NZ.

He was also the author of the biggest selling book in New Zealand in 2017
- with "Lone Wolf - how Emirates Team New Zealand stunned the World"
selling out within two months of publication. Richard has attended the
2010, 2013 and 2017 America's Cups, along with the 2008, 2012 and 2016
Olympic regattas. He is on the water for all these events rather than
being ashore in the media centre.
For the 2021 America's Cup, he is the first journalist in the world to
interview all four of the America's Cup Challengers plus the Challenger of
Record organisation.
High Quality website: For 20 years Sail-World has provided
high-quality journalism with individual content not available elsewhere
which continues to expand our global readership. A significant site
upgrade in late 2017, from partner UK website YachtsandYachting.com has
increased speed, integrated social media and revamped the newsletter
systems. The Y&YOnline team enhance, support and maintain the
Sail-World site in-house.
A Rate for Life: A policy of Sail-World NZ is not to increase
advertising rates while the advertiser remains with Sail-World NZ. This is
despite achieving significant readership increases, which would attract a
rate increase in other media. Sail-World has a very low churn rate with
advertisers many of whom have been with Sail-World for over ten years.
Statistics: Sail-World also runs its own statistics package for
both story readership and advertising impressions and click-throughs.
Sail-World also tracks its readership using Google Analytics and reports
this traffic to advertisers each month.
Understand Sail-World's functionality: This website explains the
many advertising benefits offered by Sail-World.com and prompts you on how
to make the best use of the many opportunities available to reach
thousands of local and global sales prospects.
