Company founders help North Sails celebrate opening of new loft

std_Norths 5North Sails NZ celebrated the opening of their new loft on Auckland’s North Shore on Friday evening. The move is the fourth for one of New Zealand’s top sailmakers, who opened their doors in Parnell’s Bradford and Earl Streets in 1978, before moving to Grey Lynn, and then Packenham Street adjacent to Auckland’s Viaduct harbour.

The flight to safety of the Dollar impacted in overnight trade pushing the AUD back below 0.7450, while the KIWI slipped back to 0.7130. M32 Gothenburg – GAC Pindar comes from behind to win series on Day 3

Ian Williams, Brad Farrand, Mark Bulkeley and Garth Ellingham have won the M32 series in Gothenburg, Sweden. Williams says: “Great day on the water for GAC Pindar where we started just ahead of third, but a long way from first, soon it became clear that we had a chance to win the event. Look out Fiji! The Doyle Pacific Rally fleet has arrived

Harken Young 88 Nationals – Waka Huia wins after start controversy

thumb_WAKA_HUIA1Bill Dalbeth and his crew of Richard Bicknell, Ross Weauer, Chris Maddock, Oliver Scott Mackie, Ian Vickers and Ned Dalbeth-Hudson are the 2016 Harken Young 88 National Champions. Dalbeth also claimed the Tanaka Cup for first owner driver on Waka Huia. The tem scored 17 points over the regatta, with an eighth, two third’s and two guns.
